Jaison Alexander

President - Tenor 2
Jaison is a senior in the College of Business double majoring in accounting and finance. He is from Northbrook, Illinois and is in his third year with Chai-Town. Along with Chai-Town, Jaison is also a member of UIUC's I-Bhangra Dance Team and Vice President of Finance for Sigma Beta Rho Fraternity, Inc. His hobbies and interests include playing basketball and volleyball, hanging with friends, listening to music, and watching re-runs of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". His favorite music artists include Usher, Craig David, John Mayer, Marques Houston, and Yesudas. In his spare time, Jaison threatens Vinay's safety and challenges Samarth and Aman to dance-offs.

Neesh Shah

Musical Director - Baritone
Neesh is a junior studying General Engineering. He is from Bloomington, Il. Neesh's hobbies include listening to music, making beats, watching movies (Primarily American but also "Good" Indian movies) and tv (Entourage!!!), the NBA, reading comics, stand up comedy, and hanging with friends His musical tastes include hip-hop and rap (he listens to the new stuff but prefers old school stuff like Gangstarr, A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, DMX, Wu Tang), some rock, and trance (Tiesto, Andain). Ari Gold is his inspiration.

Eeshaan Roy

External Vice-President - Tenor 1
Eeshaan is a junior majoring in Computer Science. He hails from Dubai, UAE and this is his third year in Chai-Town. His hobbies include Soccer, Squash, Guitar, Trying to play the piano with Gautam, FIFA, Utilizing all his time to watch TV shows, Eating and Sleeping. He listens to all kinds of music, but his favorites are John Mayer, Eminem, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Maroon 5, Aerosmith, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, AR Rahman. He especially enjoys tagging along with everyone when they threaten Vinay's physical safety.

Vinay Srinivasan

Baritone
Vinay is a senior majoring in Fine and Applied Arts.  He is classically trained in Carnatic music and Bharathanatyam (13 years). Vinay is part of the Natya Dance Theater, through which he has performed at numerous prestigious venues. Artists such as MS. Subbalakshmi, Maharajapuram Santhanam, and Hariharan serve to be his inspiration. He enjoys chewing gum during practice and revolving his hips and fingers during solos. Despite countless threats towards his physical safety, Vinay has courageously chosen to remain a member of Chai-Town.

Bijoy Varghese

Secretary - Bass
Bijoy is a junior double majoring in Chemistry and Psychology with Pre-med of course. He is from Woodstock, IL, and is in his third year of Chai Town, which you will now guess after you notice the lip on this boy. Since Chai Town is so demanding in all aspects, he only belongs to one other group; ICF. He loves to arrange music and plays the keyboard, guitar, bass, and the accordian. He plays basketball, and lives up to his trash talk in the game. He prefers rock music, but listens to anything except bad rap. An interesting yet boring thing: he speaks English, Spanish, Malayalam, Hindi, and Arabic.

Bharat Kusuma

Treasurer - Baritone
Bharat is double majoring in mathematics and finance. He is senior who hails from the little known town of Forest Park (it's at the end of the Blue Line!) When he's not singing, he's being executive in his position as President of his fraternity Alpha Iota Omicron. Bharat also loves to hang out with his friends and take SafeRides to Taco Bell (which put him through hell). He loves all kinds of music (anything...) and singing. He's excited to have gotten in, especially since he has no background unlike the musical ballers on Chai Town and looks forward to an awesome time in CT. As a new member this semester though, Bharat has his work cut out for him; he has to learn to get loud, open his mouth three fingers wide, and never get off of his pitch...

Sai Gudimella

Baritone
Sai is a junior majoring in Electrical Engineering, which he regrets with all of his soul. He is from Princeton, New Jersey and this is his second year on Chai-Town. He is also the Adveritising Chair for UIUC's Indian Student Association. His other hobbies and interests include playing tennis, rockband, super smash bros, drawing, The Office, Entourage, trying to gain weight, and fascinating Chai-Town with his weird and amusing laughs.

Tejaswy Mallela

Tenor 1
Tejaswy is a junior majoring in Aerospace engineering. He is from Hyderabad, India and is in his fourth semester with Chai Town. He likes any and every kind of music save rap, while having a penchant for Carnatic music in which he’s been trained for the past 10 years. Be it Miles Davis, Paco de Lucia, Jascha Heifetz or U Srinivas, he takes inspiration from all. His hobbies and interests, apart from singing, include playing the violin, football (its NOT Saahkur), CSI Miami, listening to podcasts. He’s working on his outrageous indulgence in copyright infringement.

Kevin Thomas

Tenor 2
Kevin is a junior whose major is undeclared, but he is pre-med. He is from Libertyville, IL, and this is his second year on Chai-Town. He is also a member of the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. His other hobbies and interests include playing basketball, weightlifting, videogames (especially N64), the Chicago Bulls, making recorded songs, and watching TV shows. Some of his favorite artists are TQ, The Dream, Lloyd, John Legend, 112, N.E.R.D., Nas. Kevin realizes from everyone else's bio that in order to be a part of this group, he must hurt Vinay, and he gracefully accepts this task.

Sunil Thomas

Bass
Sunil is a sophomore majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a pre-med focus. He comes from the great town of Libertyville (a.k.a. L-Ville). Sunil, other than singing, also play's piano, guitar, trumpet, and baritone. Sunil likes all types of music...except for country. He loves to just jam out and make music with others. He also likes to play soccer, volleyball, basketball, flag football (pretty much any sport), run, and weightlifting. He loves to dance like no other, and just chill and hangout with friends. Sunil likes to listen to The Fray, John Mayer, and good Hip-Hop, but he practically listens to everything...except country. Obviously like everyone else in the group, Sunil enjoys making fun of Vinay.

Arindam Chakravartti

Baritone
Arindam Chakravartti, or better known as Ari Chalk is a junior majoring in Civil Engineering. Hailing from the shores of New Jersey, this wannabe gangsta joined Chai-Town with sick beats that flow seamlessly through his palate. He enjoys music from Eminem to Khailash Kher and the occasional Miley Cyrus, and who can ever forget the Jonas Brothers? When not engulfed in Chai-Town, Ari likes to play the piano and jam out with Tejas and Eeshaan for some CT love. An interesting thing about Ari Chalk is that he doesn't have a filter to what he says.
